Green Car Design
Finally, the green car design is out. This green car which is powered by pipe dreams and plants, only this Photosynthesis car would use “Solar panels” and somehow to move about in town.
There is, unsurprisingly, no word on how designers Michal Vlcek and Klavir will leverage the power of plants to run the electric engine housed inside. But just see that “nano plastic” exterior – no undercoating necessary!

Mobile devices that need info fast without all the glamour of the standard Google site. Bing has been rising in the charts but needs to find a way to continue to grow; that’s mobile Bing.
For reminding this is a Microsoft product because the Bing team keeps present something new for users. For example, in making Bing mobile, they added some mobile-specific features that will perk interest. The first is flight information, simply go to Bing and enter in flight number and you’ll be given gate info, departure and arrival info. That is super handy for mobile users that actually are mobile as they rush across the airport.
The NFL Feature is another new feature. Simply enter the name of your team or player and you’ll receive info on schedule, standings, and while the game is on you’ll get real-time stats. Super handy for data freaks and desire.
Not a big list but the Bing team will be adding support for more devices in the near future. Bing has added a special version for mobile touchscreen devices such as iPhone, T-Mobile G1 or Samsung Omnia.
Bing Mobile might even look good on a Windows Mobile device. Used the touchscreen version of Bing mobile to search for movies and compared to the same search on Google, the Bing Mobile search was much better looking, more complete and offered trailers without any extra work. It is worth checking out and with clear, short data you may find you don’t need a full featured browser on your mobile device. You will like it.
India is Developing its Own Operating System
Indian government is busy developing its own Operating System for computers, along with anti virus softwares. The India government has focused on the said softwares owing to the continual attacks on government sites and loss of data.
A lower level operating system and application software may be preferred to the advanced versions, which necessarily require access to internet for upgrades. The new software could be deployed in key departments that have been under constant cyber attacks.
No sensitive information will be stored on systems connected to the internet, while ministries and departments have been told to carry out regular IT systems audits. The government has also established a Crisis Management Plan against cyber attacks to be implemented by all central ministries, state governments and critical sectors.
Earlier CDAC developed an OS called BOSS, short for Bharat Operating System Solutions. The Indian Government has also invested in developing the famous $10 laptop, the ISRO Bhuvan, and a $200 million microprocessor.
One All-India 3G License Bids Reach 79 bln Rs
3G Technology For Cell PhoneBids for one set of nationwide third-generation (3G) mobile spectrum license reached 79 billion rupees (1.78 billion in dollars), or 126% above the base price on this thirteenth day of an auction.The auction started on April 9 and is still on. Till now, 76 rounds of bidding had been completed by Saturday, the Department of Telecommunications said on its website. The base price for one set of pan-India licenses had been set at 35 billion rupees.Government will sell four such licenses. Three from the auction and one to the state-run telecoms firms who would have to match the highest bid price paid by the private operators. All major mobile operators including Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communications and Vodafone’s Indian unit, are participating in the auction.Let’s see who will won this bid.

LG Smart TV – Internet Enabled TV Apps System
Remember, LG’s NetCast system, An internet-enabled TV service with home dashboard, displaying apps and widgets. LG just changed the name with a new brand term “Smart TV“. May be, they’ll offer the various popular services like: Skype, YouTube, Netflix, VUDU and Yahoo Widgets & more.
This LG’s Smart TV will be launching in early 2011, but there’s already a peripheral available that will be able to support it, yeah, it’s right. The Magic Wand remote, which you may be view back atCES.
Sony E-Reader Series
Our last post was about Wink E-Reader by EC Media, this time it’s Sony, refreshed it’s e-reader series like other technology companies, which starts from $179 to $299. Actually, Sony tweaked its entire Reader Family Series i.e. “Pocket, Touch, and Daily editions” by adding improved optical touchscreens, speeding up page turns with E-ink Pearl displays and slim brushed aluminum hardware.

Thousands of Laptops Steal from Government Contractor
Breaking News: The theft occurred at the iGov facility in Tampa, Florida and the thieves got away with thousands of Panasonic Toughbook laptops, valued at more than $3,000, quite higher cost. Seven thieves managed to park two semitrailer trucks and spend nine hours loading them up with laptops.
Their entire heist was apparently caught on security footage, but there is no word as to why no one managed to catch them during the nine hour event.
I hope, cops will catch them very soon.
Videocon Launched a Complaint against Fake Websites
Breaking News: Videocon, an electronic & D2H (Direct-to-Home) company has lodged a complaint at Mumbai Cyber Cell Police Station, Bandra, Mumbai. Requesting them to block certain fake websites which are using the Videocon d2h brand name to cheat the public or may be destroy the D2H into Videocon name.
Mr. Anil Khera, CEO, Bharat Business Channel Ltd. (BBCL) said:
Our official website is “www.videocond2h.com” and the same is being used in all our customer communications with regard to our DTH services. Some anti social elements have deliberately and with an intention to cause wrongful business loss has created fake websites having deceptively similar names.

Here’s the way, how they’re cheating with customers:
Consumers have reported that they have received SMS on their mobile asking them to log on to these websites wherein they are illegally & wrongfully prompted to provide their Mobile No. Once the number is given, the next page opens with an icon of ‘Next’ prompting the customer to press the said icon.
Thereafter, on the third page, a fake authorization letter opens and informs the customers that they have won a free Videocon d2h product with free package subscription of duration ranging from 2 years to lifetime. The fake authorization letter further asks the customer to deposit an amount towards customer service tax in an account with a bank for which the details are provided and to fax the deposit slip to a specified number.
Yet Videocon d2h has taken immediate & necessary steps to prevent the general public from falling into the hands of such fake and illegal websites and endeavors to create awareness on the increasing number of frauds in the industry as well, however one of these website is still working and may be N number of users are sharing their contact details.

Another Tata Nano Fire Accident
See the picture and you can actually imagine the fact a new Tata Nano caught in fire.
Silver color Tata Nano No. = MH03-AW 913, with A/C and a power steering features, probably one of the top Nano model of worth 2.4 Lakh rupees burst on Express Express Highway at 3:45 pm on Monday, 22nd March’10.
Mr. Satish Sawant, an insurance agent, collected his brand new Nano car from Prabhadevi showroom and only after 45 mins, he saved himself from this accident when a motorcyclist told him about fire. Satish & his driver both jumped out the car.
This is not the 1st time, Nano is burning. Already 2-3 Nano cars have been burst. There are no comments from Ratan Tata yet but we hope to hear very soon from him or his team.
Now the questions arises:
- What about people safety?
- Is money less important than human’s life?
No doubt, we all are happy with cheapest car model produce in India but these types of accidents creating big questions on the reliability of Nano. What do you think people, share your views.
BMW Smallest Car – Auto Expo 2010
With as many as 67 Vintage cars and bikes, BMW new car is the smaller and seductive small car than Nano. This BMW is certainly smaller than the Nano. While the Nano is 3.1m long and 1.6m wide, this egg-shaped car made 55 years ago was around 2.29m in length and 1.37m in width. With a 298-cc rear engine, it has its entry and exit at the front.
Now Use Google Voice Without a New Number

The sticky point with the highly convenient Google Voice service has been that you had to choose a new number to use with Google Voice service. If you had an existing number that everyone already knew and wanted to switch over, you were pretty much out of luck.
But luckily that changes today, with Google announcement that you can now use Google Voice with an existing phone number. Also, you can now add Google voicemail service to any of themobile numbers linked to your account. Think of it a bit like Gmail for voicemail.
Now when you first sign up for Google Voice you can choose between using your own number or choosing a new Google number. You still get many of Google Voice’s features when using your own number, including the Google voicemail feature you can now add to linked phones.
